Coconuts
Coconuts aren’t seeds they kind of are. Some people are sensitive to coconuts.
Coconuts start out soft and harden as they ripen. Coconuts in their soft state may be more tolerated by some.
Root vegetables
Potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and beets are examples of root vegetables. The nightshade section describes how potatoes have problematic compounds that can trigger skin inflammation but not many people or resources will tell you to look out for other root vegetables like carrots or beets. We’ve seen these foods cause problems in some of our clients. You may be able to eat these without issue but be cognizant whenever you consume these foods to ensure they don’t give you issues.
More on what root vegetables are and different kinds of root vegetables can be found here.
Greens and vegetables
Some plants contain defense chemicals like lectins that trigger inflammation in some. Some plant defense chemicals (the ones in herbs) are responsible for triggering healing properties when consumed.
Some people react negatively to certain vegetables; we encourage you to watch your symptoms when you eat greens to rule out problematic ones.
