Nightshades are a group of foods consisting of potatoes [not sweet potatoes], tomatoes, eggplants, sweet and hot peppers, cayenne, red pepper, tomatillos, goji berries, etc. and spices derived from peppers, including paprika

These foods can appear harmless, but they contain compounds that trigger inflammation for some. These could be a source of your unclear skin. To understand why nightshades can trigger inflammation, read this.
